Your data is only collated by The Dress Barn when you subscribe to our online newsletter. Only your email address is recorded and used in line with current GDPR regulations to keep you up to date with our news as requested


Reserving Policy

If you are unsure about a dress we will hold it back for a few hours if you want to pop to one of our favourite coffee shops to think about it or we can hold it overnight for 24 hrs with no charge. For times longer than that we will ask for a £25-50 deposit (amount to depend on value of the dress), for a maximum of 7 days, which can be put back towards the cost of the dress if you purchase, or forfeited if you decide not to


sell back Policy

We offer a sell back policy only for dresses that have been dry cleaned and in the dry cleaning packaging. By dry cleaning we mean professionally cleaned to prevent yellowing and staining, steam finished, and wrapped in acid-free tissue if being boxed for any length of time or the plastic sleeve is fine for bringing it straight to us. This service is available at Downtons Dry Cleaners in Launceston (please see Recommended suppliers page for more details)

By investing approx £185 in your dry cleaning bill you are investing in a new life for your dress and some money back in your pocket!

After we have assessed the condition of your dress, we agree with you a price to put her on the rails. As soon as she sells, we transfer you 50% of the sale amount straight into your bank account. Easy!

“Off The Peg” includes items you purchased in store and took home on the same day.

We understand that sometimes you change your mind, or your circumstances change, and you would like to return your items to us.

We are here to help you and will do all we can to support you with your return.

We accept returns of these items within 28 calendar days of the date of purchase. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns outside this timeframe.

Items purchased in a sale must be returned within 7 calendar days.

All items being returned must be accompanied by your receipt and must be in their original condition. By this, we mean:

·  Item(s) should be in an unworn and unused condition

·  Any tags, buttons, bags of embellishments etc should still be attached

·  Item(s) should be in their original packaging, if supplied

·  If your purchase contained a free item(s), this must also be returned

·  If your purchase was part of a multi-buy deal, the refund will be based on the promotional price paid

·  If you have lost your receipt, we may still accept your return and offer you an in-store exchange. Please speak to a member of the team

·  All refunds will be made to the original payment method. If this was by card, the cardholder must be present

Any items which are not returned within the above conditions may not be accepted. We reserve the right to inspect the condition of any item being returned and may take 24 hours to do so. This does not affect your returns deadline.

“Made to Measure” includes items which are custom orders for garments you have selected, in the size and colour you have chosen. These items are brand new and sent directly to us from our carefully selected designers.

Deposit

At the point of placing your order, we will request a deposit of 50% of the total value of the order. This deposit is non-refundable. The Final 50% is payable on goods received.

Returns and Refunds

We understand that sometimes you change your mind, or your circumstances change, and you would like to return your items to us.

We are here to help you and will do all we can to support you with your return.

Cancellation of orders which have not yet arrived in store, and for which you have paid a deposit

We are sorry, but your deposit is non-refundable as we had to pay our suppliers when we placed your order.

We will not request the remaining balance for your order.

If you select an alternative item(s) from our store we will do our best to work with you to offer a reduced price. Please speak with us and we will do all we can to help.

Cancellation of orders which you have received and for which you have paid the full balance

We are sorry, but your initial 50% deposit is non-refundable as we had to pay our suppliers when we placed your order.

If you select an alternative item(s) from our store we will do our best to work with you to offer a reduced price. Please speak with us and we will do all we can to help.

Alternatively, we will work with you to offer your item(s) for sale in our store as part of our ‘off the peg’ range. The refund you receive will be in accordance with our “sell back” terms and conditions, minus the cost of your deposit.
